This daily painting explores my love of the visual aspect of sushi. Six avocado maki, a dollop of wasabi, and some pickled ginger make up this small oil painting on stretched canvas.

The painting measures approximately 15 x 15 cm (6x6in). The sides of the canvas are painted black, making the painting ready for hanging even without a frame.
