This original mixed-media work is one of a new series exploring our relationships to each other and the world around us. Part of my inspiration comes from historic images of immigrants passing through Ellis Island, as my great-grandparents did. This piece is ink, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, gesso, pencil, and conte on watercolor paper and measures 40x30cm (16x12in).
